FREQUENTY ASKED QUESTIONS

We know it's a big committment choosing to come on a retreat with us and you might have lots of questions on the details.  Below you will find some of the questions we get asked most.  And you know you can always get in touch if there is anything else you would like to know.

IS TRANSPORT INCLUDED?

Flights and transport to our retreat locations are not included but we do our best to choose dates that coincide with flights and advise guests to book their flights as soon as possible to get the best deals.  Whilst transport to the retreat venue is not included we are always happy to assist and will often put guests in touch with each other through whatsapp so that taxis can be shared.  All transport during the retreat is included.

DO I NEED TO HAVE PRACTICED YOGA OR PILATES BEFORE?

Absolutely Not! We really do welcome all levels of practice and total beginners will we gently guided and supported by our expert teachers.  Our retreats are not about hard core work outs or getting into contortionist poses.  We are all about feel good movement that is accessible to everyone, releases tension from the body and builds gentle strength and confidence.  We do ask that guests who join a reformer pilates class have done at least a few class before so there is some familiarity with the reformer machine.

WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS SERVED?

We welcome amazing private chefs to collaborate on our retreats serving delicious vegetarian food.  We promise that it's not at all about nut loafs, lentils and restriction.  In fact our food philosophy is more about adding things like colour, flavour and nutrition in, rather than taking things out.  If you are an avid meat eater,  you might be surprised at how amazing veggie food can be and we are always mindful to include lots of protein, flavour and treats.  We believe that food should be a pleasure!  We also cater to food intolerances and restrictions on request.

IS IT ALCOHOL FREE?

This is something that has been something of a conundrum since I began running retreats.  Some guests prefer to have an alcohol free time on retreats and some really enjoy a glass of wine, so we have landed somewhere in the middle.  There are some amazing organic vineyards on the island so we offer a glass of delicious local wine with dinner and there is alway the option to indulge at dinner out on our last night.  Or not! It's totally up to you.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We always send out a list of what to bring to our retreats to make packing easy but generally comfy clothes suitable for movement and hikes, a light sweater for cooler evenings, a good pair of trainers for walking on uneven terrain, swimwear and sunscreen, a hat, something to wear out for dinner on the last night and some casual clothes for other times.  We are super relaxed and mainly found barefoot or in flip flops!
